Our Services

Three Areas of Focused Work

Each service is paced by the family, designed to record and organise — not to rush or prescribe a single path forward.

Ancestral document review

Service I

Ancestral Document Review

A patient review of older family documents — earlier wills, land titles, family correspondence — set alongside the present-day succession framework. You receive a plain-language written summary and a short note of any questions worth considering before any further step.

  • Careful reading of each document supplied
  • Plain-language written summary
  • Short note of questions to consider

Heirloom and cultural asset recording

Service II

Heirloom & Cultural Asset Recording

A focused service for families with art, antiques, or culturally significant pieces. We document each item with structured conversation, photographic recording, written description, and a clear annex to the existing or planned will — carried out over several visits if preferred.

  • Photographic recording of each piece
  • Written description and provenance notes
  • Will annex drafted clearly
฿ 9,800 THB Enquire
Long-line succession coordination

Service III

Long-line Succession Coordination

A comprehensive service for families thinking about how property and responsibilities may pass through more than one generation. We establish a calm review schedule so the arrangement can be adjusted gently over time — not fixed permanently in place.

  • Written record of the family's present position
  • Structured family conversations
  • Ongoing review schedule established

Why Families Choose Us

A Practice Built Around Your Pace

Unhurried by Design

No timeline is imposed. Conversations proceed at the family's own pace, and documents are reviewed with patience rather than speed.

Plain-Language Records

Every written summary uses clear, everyday language. Legal formality is kept for the documents themselves, not for conversations with the family.

Thai Law Expertise

All services are grounded in the Thai Civil and Commercial Code. Older family documents are reviewed in light of current succession law.

Confidential & Discreet

Family matters remain private. All documentation stays with the client and is shared only at their direction.

Arrangements That Adapt

Succession frameworks are designed to be revisited and adjusted, not locked into a single configuration. Families change; plans should too.

Cultural Sensitivity

We understand that family heirlooms and ancestral documents carry meaning beyond their legal status. Both are treated with appropriate care.

Begin a Conversation

When Might Be a Good Time to Talk?

Many families find it helpful to speak with a legal adviser before any decisions are made — simply to understand what documents they hold and what those documents may mean for the people who come after them.

Boran Law is available for an initial, unhurried conversation at your convenience.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

What does succession law cover under Thai law?
Under the Thai Civil and Commercial Code, succession law governs how a deceased person's property, rights, and obligations pass to heirs — whether through a valid will or through the statutory rules that apply when no will exists. Boran Law works with families to understand how those rules apply to their particular situation before any decisions are made.
We have older family documents in Thai and some in English. Can you review both?
Yes. The Ancestral Document Review service covers documents supplied by the family, regardless of language or age. Where translation is needed, we will note this in our summary and can advise on appropriate next steps.
How long does the heirloom recording process take?
The service is paced by the family. Some families prefer to complete the work in a single visit; others prefer to carry it out over several sessions. The work is not time-limited on our side, and the pace is always the family's to decide.
Does the long-line succession coordination service include drafting a will?
The coordination service covers the drafting of relevant documents as part of the work, which may include testamentary documents where the family chooses to proceed in that direction. The key focus is to establish a framework that can be revisited and adjusted over time.
Are the fees fixed, or can they vary depending on the scope of work?
The fees listed represent the starting point for each service. Where a family's situation is more involved — for example, where a document review uncovers additional complexity — we will discuss any adjustment transparently before proceeding. No additional work begins without the family's agreement.
Is the information shared with Boran Law kept confidential?
All information shared with Boran Law is treated as confidential. The documents and records produced remain entirely the client's property and are not shared with third parties without explicit direction from the client.
